Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

Thank you for being a part of the Passageways customer community. The success of the Spark is due to your participation. By joining and using this community, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines. You also agree to reserve discussions and shared files and content to that best suited to the medium. This is a great medium with which to solicit the advice of your peers, benefit from their experience, and participate in an ongoing conversation. In order to protect the informative and professional nature of this community, we have established some general rules to keep in mind. Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with these important guidelines. If you have questions, contact the community manager. In order to preserve an environment that encourages both civil and fruitful dialogue, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in this community for anyone who violate these rules.

  • Respect others. Focus on the content of posts and not on the people making them. Please extend the benefit of the doubt to newer guests and members; there’s no such thing as a stupid question.
  • Be kind and professional. Differences of opinions can make for educational and productive posts in Spark. We know there can be some “hot-button” issues and certainly don’t want to avoid them. All we ask is that your conversations be productive and do not attack the individual who has posted it.
  • Keep private information private. This is an easy guideline to accidentally break. We can be privy to a lot of private information in this community. Please do not share information publicly without the consent of the person who originally posted it.
  • Be honest, be yourself. The community is intended to be used for the helpful exchange of information between members. False, inaccurate, or otherwise misleading information is not helpful. Please be sincere in your community participation by only contributing content you know is accurate. Be mindful to respect the "closed" environment of Passageway’s online communities and do not forward messages to non-members.
  • Respect the purpose of the community. Use the community to share successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions, and goals instead of products or services that you provide. If you’ve found a product or service helpful, please share your experience with the group in a respectful way. Submit only your own, original content.
  • Help look after your community. There is a permanent record of your posts across all online community platforms. Spark’s online platform is here for the benefit and enjoyment of members like you. If you notice content within the community that does not abide by these guidelines or the Terms and Conditions, please report it to our Community Manager at through the contact us link.
  • Share your thoughts with us…using the appropriate medium. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service to you and welcome all feedback you may have—positive or negative. While we always want to encourage engagement within Spark, we ask that you refrain from posting about community rules, moderation, or other Spark administrative related topics in the open forums. We welcome your thoughts and implore you to send us a message through the contact us link.

Guidelines for posting:

  • State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject. Use the tags as well to help assist in search efforts.
  • Send messages such as "thanks for the information" or "me, too" to individuals, not to the entire list. Do this by using the "Reply to Sender" link in every message.
  • Do not send administrative messages, such as “remove me from the list,” to the group. Instead, use the web interface to change your settings or to remove yourself from a list. If you are changing email addresses, you do not need to remove yourself from the list and rejoin under your new email address. Simply change your settings.
